If (or when) you come to Japan, there are many beautiful traditional sights to see. But no guidebook anywhere, can lead you to the amazing impromptu happenings that really illustrate today's Japan. Walking along the boardwalk, Kanako and I were entranced for more than an hour (we were late to dinner!) by this amazing aboriginal Bazillion street dance/ kung-fu group. With minimalist percussion, perpetual Portuguese chant, and mind-blowing flexibility, this group embodied the natural wonder that is human creativity. Globalization, or the shrinking of our world, can have some truly beautiful effects. There I was, standing on a Japanese waterfront, watching native Brazilian dance. Does it get any better than that?  Posted by Hello
