In the seven weeks I've been here I have been all over the Kansai map, but only to see the city life. I was beginning to think that all of Japan was like Osaka, Kobe, Nishinomiya - concrete jungle. I couldn't have been more wrong. I met a friendly JET, Lisa, who was also sightseeing. Lisa sounded really relieved to be in Koiesan, "Oh, it is so nice to see paved roads!" You've got to be kidding me, all I could think was "It's so nice to see trees!"
