Mo's Journey

I was lost and left to find myself - this is the note I left behind for anyone who comes a lookin for me.

Me, Megumi, Yuka, Sae, (my 3 conversation partners) and Kanako (my homegirl). Three conversation partners! What a lucky girl I am!
At first I couldn't find Sae when I was suppose to find he, so I wandered around the three story cafeteria like a wide-eyed foreigner. I felt awkward and insecure while I aimlessly wandered and finally resigned myself to just sitting down and quietly nibbling my sandwich alone. Seriously, I think that eating alone in a busy cafeteria has got to be the universal communication for 'save me!' because it wasn't' two minutes before Sae magically appeared. Whew!
See, every dilemma has a solution, every gray cloud has a silver lining, and every exchange student should be so lucky as I am. If you are a college student, go sit with that weird-looking exchange student in the cafeteria. They can`t help that their skin is a different color, that they have funk hair or strange clothing to your eyes - they really are a cool person and you could make both of your days. Posted by Hello

Kanako,
Yes, you will really like Megumi, she is also a student of psychology, so we can continue our intillectual converstions about cross-cultural sociolgy and social psychology!
I can`t wait until you study abroad, you`ll love it! And if you end up on the West Coast of America I will visit you for sure!
I had a great time with you on Tuesday, thanks for taking me out!

Mom -
I insist that you sign up with a local high school or college to host an international student! Maybe only for a long weekend or holiday? You can do it! Think of it as me, in another form. Er, maybe don't think of it as me, no one comes halfway around the world so that you can tell them to make their bed. Jk. But seriously - host a student!
