Still Waters

Posted by HelloMegu invited me to stay with her family for a few days this week. She speaks excellent English, so spending time with her makes me feel very welcomed and at home. Not to mention, her family is just completely hilarious!
Momma-san is a kooky-singing-to-herself-in-public type of gentle free spirit.
Pappa-san is a goofy-yet-proud-of-his-family-always-hungry-happy go-lucky type.
Grandma, or 'Obaasan' is a Japanese Norma Lynch (my mother's mother). She is just always smiling! A wave of the hand and she tilts back her head to chuckle and joke in Japanese. I can't comprihend her words yet, but I toally get her.
Ai, the oldest daughter, is a student at Essex the UK, and is a charismatic globe-trotter - she is bound and determined to somehow clean the Ganges river in India, and she so earnestly believes in dedicating herself to this particular cause, I actually think she just might do it.
Megu is the quiet on, but 'still waters run deep' as they say and she also has seen some great things in her life. I see her as the sophisticated introvert of the family, modestly but gallantly soaring to great heights.
Great family, am I a lucky person or what?
