The Great Escape...

Ok, so it wasn't THAT scandalous... Megu and I were sitting around the room chit-chatting, when we stumbled into one of our "inside jokes." It will usually Go something like this:

Mo: "Megu - I am soooo bored! I have two hours of homework!"
Megu: "Oh. Me too. I must study all night. I am sleepy but I cannot sleep for many hours."
Mo:"(laughing) Yes. Studying is very important. But do you know what is even more important than studying?"
Megu: "Uh... no."
Mo:"(Yelling) Eating chocolate cake!!!"
Megu: "Hehe. Yes, Mo. Yes."

Yes, often when discussing the pains of curfew, or talking about lame things like homework or part-time jobs, I will interject that what we really ought to be doing with our time is - eating chocolate cake.

I know it all seems ridiculously simple, but that's the beauty of it. Sometimes happiness is as simple as chocolate cake. The idea of eating chocolate cake is better than anything and everything else Megu and I can ever seem to dream up, and it never fails to make Megu smile.

So today as we were discussing the details of my departure (really sad conversation to have with someone you have grown to love after living with them for five months) I threw in the chocolate cake line, to lighten the mood. But, it was only 8:30 and neither of us had any more homework - so why not eat cake?
