Kiyomizu-dera temple was founded by Enchin (a great Buddhis priest from 778AD) and is the main sanctuary of Kannon (The God of Mercy) and Bosatsu (The Bodhi-Sattva). The temple was re-done in the 1633, but stands today with the exact same design as it did over 1000 years ago.
