Get Outta' Dodge

Today after school I just had to get the heck outta Dodge, ya know? So Aki and I spontaneously caught the soonest possible train to Umeda where we people-watched, ate tacoyaki (again! This stuff is like crack, I tell you!) found an English section in this gi-normous bookstore, ate a superfluously decadent dessert and drank way too much candy-flavored “beverages.” Funniest things said all night:
[Mo inside a Japanese toilet stall] Mo: “I can’t find my yen.”
[Mo sucking a mochi from a shishkabab] Aki: “Are you thinking what I’m thinking?!?”

See blog from Thursday, April 14, 2005 for a pic. Imagine a gooshy pancake batter ball with octopus inside - sorta. You just gotta come here, to know it, and love it.
